 Gavin I read all your messages and though I never met you you were an amazing man and my husband spoke of you with nothing but respect. Now you Bryan and Lufkin are together as your wife wrote to me. And I know you are guiding Carol and Kaleigh as Bryan is guiding me and Pyper. When I read Carol what you wrote to your husband I cant help but to feel the same way. There is not a day that goes by without me wondering which ring is Bryan. Everyday its a little harder but if you need anything at all I may not be the stongest shoulder to lean on but I will be the one who understands. And I am always here to listen and to cry because I know how bad it hurts. I know when anything hurt we called them and I know I feel lost too. But I will listen and I WILL understand. So now you have my e mail and i will give you my cell on that. Please e mail me. i think about you all the time . Please take care and Gavin watch over my baby till I get there.

I feel really sad that Gavin is no longer with us.  He and my son were friends when they were very young.  I always wanted my son to be friends with my friends' kids.  Gavin was the only one that got to be close with us.  My son, Lawrence spent a lot of time with Gavin and he is shocked and saddened too.  I called a few times to share my grief and I understand if you don't want to return my call.  If you do, Scott and Karen, My number is 856-461-4675.  

I have hated that war since it started, and now a face is attached to that fiasco.  I wish this had never happened.  I cannot imagine a  loss like this.

I want to start off by introducing myself you don't know me but you might know my husband he was a friend of Gavins and in in his unit (Chad Bancroft) my name is Stephanie Bancroft . I just wanted to let you know if you ever need anything i am just a phone call away. My prayers are with you and your little girl and i asked god everyday to bless your family in this time of need, he was a true hero and will truely be missed by many. I never got to meet him but my husband talks and thinks alot of him he must have been a wonderful man.

I hope you dont mind my presence on Gavins site. I was on my way into my brothers site and came across it. I just wanted to say how sorry i am for your loss. I know the pain you feel the emptyness inside you feel and just want to send you all a hug. I also lost my brother Iain bruce hunter in Iraq in september 2004 and i feel like ive lived that day over and over again. For Carol

You suffered a loss

A tragedy well known

But everything happens for a reason

Or so we are all told.

 

It’s not easy to understand

It’s hard to grasp

What these people did

Only god could forgive.

 

A true love was lost,

For his country, Daughter and his wife

He supported the USA

And only lost his last fight on earth.

 

He is in a better place now

That we all hope to be

He is not really gone

But looking down on us,

And soldiers fighting for the free

 

He knows what they are fighting for

He knows it is not a lost cause

His loyalty will not be forgotten

Gavin was the older brother that was always there for me when i was bored. We had the best shaving cream fights and four-wheeler rides. He was probably one of the funn-est guys you will ever know. my rides and fights will never be the same again. I loved him so much and I will miss him alot.

Gavin was more than just my best friend, I thought of him as my brother!  He was the kind of friend that people dream of having, and i mean this with all of my heart! I am so glad that God blessed us with such a good friend, good husband to Carol, and such a good father to KayKay.
